Fattima Mahdi’s new single “Mama” is set for official release on May 1st 2020. It is the official introduction to her upcoming EP “HOME”.

It should come as no surprise that she is teaming up with two of Malta’s biggest music producers. They are Rikki Lee Scicluna and Claude Spiteri Belcher from Gilkicker Studios. to bring “Mama” to fruition.
HOME is a fusion of electronica and afro house. It features a number of African artists, including the London based singer and incredible freestyle talent, FaceSoul. Count as well South African producer Gumz and Nigerian singer Rasta Bama.
Who is Fattima Mahdi?
Fattima is half Nigerian, half Somalian, while at the same time growing up in London. She proudly pays homage to her roots in her first official release in 2020.
Fattima describes her new track as “a heartfelt ode to Africa”. It features powerful lyrics and composition and as always delivers a thought provoking a message.
Mother’s day is just 10 days out from the official release. Thus, it is a time when many interpretations and dedications will be directed to mothers everywhere.
Fattima is quickly gaining recognition for her art form. For example, there are a number of local and international artists and producers knocking at her door to collaborate.
This Thursday the 30th OZ & Jay will have Fattima on The Big Breakfast Show. It will feature an exclusive airplay of “Mama” only on XFM.
