Macedonia’s first and only music conference and showcase festival – PIN, is happening at the Youth Cultural Center in Skopje, Macedonia from the 30th of November until the 2nd of December.
This is the 10th edition of the conference and is looking to build a community and carve the future of the music scene of Europe together.
PIN Music Conference 2023 will have over 100 delegates
Organized by the Association Culture and Arts ‘Taksirat,’ the music conference and showcase festival will have over 100 delegates including Fresh Island Festival promoter Adnan Mehmedovic, Agron Kapllani from Artline Agency, and our very own Ian Hinksman, Luc Rouffaud and Milica Micic from Underground Sound.
Some of the speakers in the panel so far are Dino Lupelli (Music Innovation Hub), Natasha Padabed, Marton Naray among others.
Afriquoi, DJ KILLO KILLO, and other artists to join the showcase
After sending out an open call for artists all over the world, 31 artists were chosen for the showcase for the event. This includes the UK–based live African dance music band Afriquoi, Budapest–based folk/pun band Bohemian Betyars, roots/reggae Serbian artist DJ KILLO KILLO, and many more.
The showcase is very diverse and features artists from all over the world. PIN welcomes unique experimental artists from different backgrounds.
A great place to network
Founded in 2012, PIN Music Conference is a standing-out project of Taksirat and has always aimed at building a community and connections all over Europe.
They connect music markets all over Europe and help artists take an active role in their careers and develop their skills. In the previous years, they had representatives from notable festivals such as Glastonbury, EXIT, Lollapalooza Berlin and more.
Why PIN Music Conference was started
“Our goal is to enrich the local music sector by bringing the diversity of best practices, up-to-date knowledge, and people who will be a part of this development in Macedonia and the Balkan region,” said the PIN team.
PIN Music Conference has joined the Network of European Showcases (INES) and is a partner festival at HEMI Music Hub. They are also a part of Gigmit’s talent program RISE.
