Reimagining the conference for their 20th anniversary, The Great Escape truly is unmatched for finding new music. Showcasing 450 emerging artists from around the world in over 30 venues across the city, TGE is full on.

Starting earlier on Wednesday, the opening theme covers live music including discussions essential to today’s challenges for the industry. 4. Focus Wales, a regional showcase with real export ambition

Focus Wales is no small conference tucked away in Wales, this event brings out 25,000 fans of the music and film industries every year. Heading into their 16th edition, the 3-day event will bring delegates from across the music spectrum from booking agents, founders, promoters, label managers, and over 250 artists. With the huge crowds they still are able to keep the conference and festival venues concentrated and accessible.

5. AVA London, electronic culture taken seriously

AVA was born in Belfast and the music coming from this festival is the stuff of legend. Though at that location there is also a conference, here we’re focusing on the AVA London expansion.
