India International Music Week, a New South Asian Industry Event Announced for February 2025

The first edition of India International Music Week is set to take place in February 2025. The event will be a five-day global conference held in Goa, India.

India International Music Week (IIMW) is planned to unfold in Goa, India next year marking a great milestone for South Asian music. This announcement came by the India Music Exchange founder at the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS), an annual music event that takes place in the Netherlands.

What do we know about the event?

With details currently being talked about regarding venues in Goa, IIMW has partnered with the ‘ESNS Exchange, which is the global festival partnership program. The ESNS is known to promote and discover new European music, making it the perfect place for the announcement, with over 40,000 visitors and more than 300 artists attending their annual conference.

What will India International Music Week ‘25 focus on?

The focus will be on upcoming artists and talent. The event will hold live performances, multiple stages, and diverse artists both globally and local to India. Panel discussions will be held on market trends, workshops, mixers among other activities.

A busy month for Indian music industry

This February, India will be hosting three music conferences, welcoming audiences from international promoters to indie artists.

The fourth edition of the Asia Music Summit recently took place in Kohima, while New Delhi and Bengaluru are currently hosting new multi-day events like Rise//Del and Deccan Alternative Music Conference. Events like these are exciting to see in India’s already very large music market.

Who is behind the India International Music Week?

The Indian Music Exchange (IMX) is behind IIMW. The organization is built with the help of representatives of performers, labels, publishers, venues as well as professionals in the Indian music industry.

IMX aims to create opportunities that increase Indian artists and India’s music presence internationally with the hopes of making the country’s music market accessible globally.
