Shy FX, Bou & Bru-C: Norwich’s Popular Sundown Festival Lands in Malta this Summer

Sundown Festival is heading to Malta, For a three day party in the sun.

The popular annual music festival that takes place in Norfolk, UK, has announced that they are set to expand on an international level, with the first location being Malta. Starting from the 21st -23rd June 2024, the festival will take place at Café del Mar, Bora-Bora, and Gianpula Village with a boat party thrown in for good measure.

BOU

If drum n bass, is your thing then there’s a high chance that you’ve heard of Bou or at least his hit track, alongside Chase & Status – ‘Baddadan’. He’s done live sets for Boiler Room, 360 DnB, and Mixmag’s event series Brainfreeze, and is a 7x award winning DJ & producer at the Drum & Bass Awards.

Bru-C

Another one for the drum and bass heads, is Nottingham’s Bru-C. Having been a long-standing figure in the UK underground scene, he’s been steadily releasing club bangers while gaining himself a cult following and scoring major festival bookings.

Shy FX

London born DJ and producer Shy FX is a veteran in the UK’s Jungle and drum & bass scene. He’s credited as taking the genres to the mainstream with several tracks making it into the UK charts as far back as 94 with Original Nuttah.

Aside from the highlighted from the Phase One line-up release, there will also be Nathan Dave,Wilkinson, D.O.D, Belters Only, George Mensah Loeca, Riordan, and Switch Disco.The next line up phases are set to be released in the coming weeks.

With the news of 2024’s line-up release so far and 2023’s consisting of Chase & Status, Sub Focus, and Nia Archives, It’s fair to say that Malta’s version of Sundown Festival already has us hyped up for what’s in store.

Why Sundown festival?

Sundown Festival is relatively young, having been established in 2019. However, that hasn’t stopped them from going all out on bringing not only brings names from all corners of musical genres but also bringing people together to do one thing: dance the night (and day) away.

If you’re in the UK and miss out on the Malta edition of Sundown Festival, don’t worry they will be back on the 30th August – 1st September in there home of town of Norwich.
