Terraforma has been a staple in the Milanese art and festival scene since 2014. Read below to learn about their latest satellite project — Terraforma Exo.

Terraforma Exo is coming to Milan’s Parco Sempione

Terraforma Exo is the newest music festival by Terraforma. Defined as a “Cultural Manifestation for a New Ecology of Sound” Terraforma has never been afraid to get experimental. However complex the synopsis may be, long story short it should be an incredibly unique event. Combining art and experimental music in the heart of Milan makes Terraforma Exo an exciting prospect for this summer.

Program at Terraforma Exo

Although much of the lineup is TBA, there will certainly be some quality sets. Breaking the barriers of a singular genre or style is the eclectic American, Livwutang, who is based out of NYC. Another genre bender is ojoo, a Moroccan DJ with mixes which “give equal attention to atmosphere and groove”. Included in the two-day event is an associated club night taking place at another venue on the evening of June 15th.

With the sets, Terraforma has more experimental shows sold separately. These include an immersive experience called the Acusmonium Audior and a project using graphics and sounds from early 1980’s computers by Robert Henke.

Check out the program here.

What does this mean for Terraforma Festival?

Unfortunately, Terraforma Festival at the usual Villa Arconati location will not be happening this year. Since 2014, Terraforma’s purpose as a sustainability-oriented platform was perfectly on display there. Collaborating with local non-profits, they facilitated a landscape restoration project and the reforestation of the festival camping area.

Luckily, there’s plenty of Terraforma satellite events to enjoy from the art project Il Pianeta, Terraforma Symposium and of course, Terraforma Exo.
