The Malva Collection: A Bold Fusion of Art, Fashion, and Photography

The Malva Collection, is a merging of the vibrant worlds of pop art, fashion, and photography.

This innovative collaboration brings together three artists from distinct creative fields. Miloman, one of Malta’s most exciting contemporary artists known for his Infinite Heart series. Ines Bahr, an internationally acclaimed fashion photographer, and Malva, a creative director with a passion for boundary-pushing projects. Together, they’ve created a unique collection that transforms Miloman’s art into wearable fashion.

The Creative Spark

The collaboration came to life at Valletta’s Studio 34, where Malva first encountered Miloman’s work. Instantly drawn to his distinctive style, particularly his Infinite Heart series, Malva envisioned a project that would bring his art to life in a new medium.

“Miloman’s work speaks of endless possibilities. “It was the perfect foundation for a bold and intimate fashion collection.”

Miloman: The Artistic Foundation

Miloman’s contributions to the collection are rooted in his love for creativity. “We used up cycled, recycled, and new clothing, including a standout pair of white cowboy boots, to add depth to the infinite hearts theme.”

Working with Malva was a seamless experience, he added.

“Her energy and enthusiasm made the collaboration effortless and exciting.”

Ines Bahr: Capturing the Vision

For photographer Ines Bahr, the project was an irresistible opportunity to merge art and fashion. “Miloman’s vibrant artworks immediately drew me in”.

Her approach to the photo shoot focused on maintaining the collection’s monochromatic theme while showcasing the artistry of each piece.

Malva: The Visionary

As the creative director, Malva’s vision was clear, to create a collection that felt both bold and intimate. “We aimed to strike a balance between the artistic elements and the wear ability of the garments,” she explained.

The launch event, held at 97 Notes in Valletta, was a dream come true. “Seeing faces from the art, fashion, and film industries celebrating the collection was surreal,” Malva said.

The unveiling of the Malva Collection at 97 Notes was a true celebration of creativity. With an open invitation to the arts community, the event showcased pieces adorned with Miloman’s signature designs, brought to life through Ines Bahr’s lens.

This collection is more than just fashion, it’s a testament to the power of collaboration, where art meets style and creativity knows no bounds.
