Hospitality on the Harbour returns for one final time. Expect a summer’s day full of face melting DnB.
On the 3rd of August 2024 the UK’s leading DnB label, Hospital Records, will be taking over Bristol’s Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square, with some of the hottest acts in DnB and liquid funk.
Who’s set to take the stage at Hospitality on the Harbour?
This year, Hospitality on the Harbour is bringing you veterans and relative newcomers to the DnB scene. This includes ‘90s pioneer, Andy C, who helped in shaping DnB into what we know today. Check out his track Quest, a collaboration with Shimon, which was huge for the development of the genre.
Sticking with the veterans, you’ll also get the chance to see Netsky, a Belgian DnB producer known for his infectious liquid funk beats. Not to mention his chart topping remix of Everybody Loves The Sunshine.
Netsky is as active as always, recently dropping his latest single, Nobody Likes The Records That I Play.
More acts set to play at Hospitality on the Harbour
Next are the new kids on the block. Starting with Whiney who’s on an absolute tear at the moment dropping filthy DnB on a regular basis. He will be joined by the infamous grime legend, P Money.
A Little Sound will also be on stage listed as a ‘special guest’ on the lineup. You may know her from TikTok or her vocals on the track Weed & Wine. Expect a fire live performance and some mingling with the crowd. Check her out here interviewing ravers showing off their dance moves.
Why Bristol?
Not only is it one of the birthplaces of DnB, but Bristol is the city with the highest density of musicians in the UK. You might recognize names like Massive Attack, Roni Size, and Eats Everything — all originally from the city.
Bristol is a cultural melting pot, with a healthy underground scene that’s been active since the ‘80s. The area has no lack of credentials hosting an event like Hospitality on the Harbour.
Past editions of Hospitality
Previous editions of Hospitality on the Harbour have hosted artists such as Wilkinson, Hybrid Minds, and DJ Marky, who helped pioneer Brazilian DnB style, Sambass.
Hospitality has events all over, not just on the harbor. In fact, they host worldwide and have been doing so for over twenty-one years. You can find them in the woods, on the beach, and pretty much anywhere else they can set up a sound system and gather a few thousand people.
More on beach venues — Hospitality on the Beach is perhaps their biggest festival, taking place on the shores of Tisno, Croatia.
