We are absolutely hyped Interplanetary Criminal and ATW007, his first solo EP since 2022 released on the label ATW Records (the one he co-founded).
Labelled “for club use only” on his Bandcamp, these three UKG tracks are made of “blood, sweat, tears n club culture” as per IPC’s Instagram. But first, a little background.
A bit about Interplanetary Criminal
Zach Bruce aka Interplanetary Criminal from the real North of England. A humble artist that produced a number one single in the UK (OCC) and Ireland (IRMA) in 2022.
He said in a 2023 interview with Locked On Records that ‘B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)’ “was the first thing where I really felt that my music career was accessible to everyone single person that I knew.”
Indeed, BOTA was a track from the underground that was able to bring together people from all walks of life.
ATW0007 a wobbly UKG EP
Interplanetary Criminal recently dropped this dark interpretation of UKG and it’s been on repeat ever since. Gunman sets off the first track of the EP featuring Riko Dan. This one had me off the walls the first time I listened (as well as the 20x after).
Before you know it, you’ve slipped into track two ‘Manchester’ (that was a wicked song). Again, on this track you’re getting full wobbly mids, proper UKG bass.
‘The Valley’ is the last track on the EP that goes darker yet as sexy as ever. I got shivers listening to this EP and it’s 30 degrees Celsius here. Interplanetary Criminal knows what the f*** he is doing.
