New Liquid DnB: Adrienne Richards, Big Bud & Makoto Support Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism with Fresh Releases

Two new liquid dnb albums from Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism.

Yes, there is a way to listen to new liquid DnB and support those dependent on the care of others. Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism are out with not one, but two new releases, and once again 100% of proceeds from streaming and album purchases go to autism-related therapy.

Two years ago, I wrote about their 50-track USA versus UK liquid compilation. From this past project, a few of the same artists have recorded again for this great cause. And today, traveling by train, I am reviewing new liquid DnB pumping through my earbuds, as the French countryside flies by.

New liquid DnB Through My Eyes by Adrienne Richards

First cued up is Adrienne Richards’ EP Through My Eyes. Her track on the 2022 mix was our previous favorite. Now we’re happy to listen to a full-on EP from her. Originally from Toronto, Canada, she is a rising voice in the world of DnB and we can only expect more from her.

The album starts off with a fast one, ‘Only A Man’. Snappy beats match the speed of rooftops zooming past my window to her echoing voice. She’s one of those vocalists with the right touch for liquid. While most DnB singers under or overdo it, Adrienne Richards strikes the perfect balance.

A new collab on every track

What we like about this EP is that Adrienne Richards collaborates with four different artists on each individual track. There’s Command Strange, DJ Stunna, Random Movement and Makoto, our favorite collab being the latter. ‘Love Letter’ features a great production from the soul, funk and jazz-influenced producer from Tokyo.

Adrienne has past productions with Random Movement, a producer from Columbus, Ohio synonymous with deep, soulful and sophisticated DnB. His productions can be found on DJ Marky’s Innerground, Liquid V and Spearhead records.

12 tracks of new liquid DnB on Pioneers, Legends & Icons

Watching undulating hills from my train window, the second liquid album cues up. Pioneers, Legends & Icons is a 12-track deep album featuring new releases for Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism. Right off the bat, A-Sides catches my attention, a prolific DJ who has collaborated with Calibre, Makoto and DJ Marky among others.

The album progresses to ‘Look Deeper’ by Big Bud, our favorite one on the album. Big Bud is a jungle producer that releases “fusion-soaked reveries of breakbeat drum’n’bass.” Before he worked exclusively on LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records. Furney, a producer based out of the UK has three tracks on the album. ‘Destiny Unfolding Within’ is one of the more pensive ones we like from him.

Indeed, we’ve covered compilations from Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism in the past. However, on these last releases there is a big difference. It feels like the curators have further improved their craft this time around, including artists that really gel well together. Thoughtful pauses, gradual, almost imperceptible, yet complex rhythm changes characterize this mixtape.

As my train slows to its destination in the city, the album rolls to an end. Soundtracking your life with this mosaic of grade A liquid producers is one of the many ways to enjoy liquid DnB – hats off guys.
